I'm going to be stingy, and complain that this thread should definitely be in the other musical instrument section.

Anyway! I've skimmed over a couple of reviews of it on guitar mags, they aren't fantastic by the sounds of it.

The problem is that Moog have designed a whole new pickup/electronics system for it- you get a wide variety of tones, but you can't switch out the pickups because nothing else will fit. And not all the tones are brilliant and usable... well that's what I hear.

I CAN safely say that they're f***ing expensive- maybe overpriced. But they do look rather pretty too. But... yeah...

Probably would be easier to get a standad fat strat a whole load of stompboxes...

those stomp boxes start to build up into a giant pile of money after a while. some of the stomp boxes are way more complicated than anything I have in a keyboard...lol...

Can you play the sound of a newborn's first laugh, or the sound of the look of love in a young girls eyes? Well I can't even get close.

hehe true.... but when I mean f***ing expensive, I mean... well actually more expensive than a fat strat and a pile of stompboxes.

I just had a look on a website then which was selling one for $5845US.. the same site claimed that the list price was $6495US.

I hear it's complicated to use too I don't know about you, but I'd be happy with just a fat strat, a distortion, chorus, delay, and wah pedal.

I view it as a keyboard, its a synth-guitar that you dont even need to strum. Made by Moog.

I understand what you mean by Other Instruments, maybe when I posted this, I though I clicked on the other section XD.

I heard the sounds were good, but the guitar itself is deff. not good to have in a band or something.

Dude.... I'm going to assume that you accidentally posted this on this section rather than the other instruments section

I know you're entitled to your opinion, but how could you possibly say this is a keyboard!? lol

Synthesized guitar maybe, but not a keyed "keyboard" instrument by any means.

...And I hope you weren't suggesting that the fact that Moog made it makes it any more of a keyboard... they already had (and have) a line of rather pricey FX pedals

I just said that >_>

anyway, this isn't really any guitar though, it sorta sounds like a keyboard. And i do agree that its really over priced, but I read interviews of professional guitar players and they said they wouldn't use this for a band because its not that great of a guitar; just to make interesting sounds.

Well, it is a guitar, I can assure that.
It has some interesting functions like infinit sustain. But it just doesn't have a tone for metal, rock or blues. It could work for electronic music projects.

I guess you mean this guitar:
