It works great from the rescue CD though - and I also use the Acronis boot manager, so you can run the partition manager from there ie before you boot into a partition. I'm not sure if it works with a USB drive, but it works fine from a CD. -- =========== John Braner http://cdbaby.com/cd/JohnBraner http://www.soundclick.com/johnbraner

But partition Manager is probably the same way. You may also want to check out Paragon Hard Disk Manager. I'm still learning this program since it came with my new laptop but it runs on 64-bit, and when I checked out their forum I was struck by the prompt response time and relative lack of complaints...

Paragon's a good product, I use it. I use Easeus too, it fixed one system Acronis and Paragon couldn't. IMO you can't have too many tools for fixing problems with partitions, boot sectors etc. As Ben mentioned, the unix based cd's, also Ultimate Boot CD for Windows, BartPE, WinPE, etc. are all good to have at hand.
