    Hi Gang...

I'm a hobbyist hip hop producer, who uses both samples and original
keyboards. I've only recently begun using the computer for my work
(until now I've done all my sequencing and audio with my Roland XP-50
    and my Akai s2000).

Let's say I wanted to build a completely digital environment system,
start to finish. What setup should I use if:

    1) I want to do overall sequencing and final mixdown with Cubase

    2) I'd need a loop editor to do great drums, right? What do you
    recommend? Fruityloops? FL studio?

    3) I'd need a sampling soft-synth right? To edit piano samples and
stuff. I love feeding audio from my roland into another machine; I
fele it gives me more "punch." What's good for that? Kompact?
    Halion?

    4) I'd need a great soft synth right? something to replace the great
sounds on my roland xp-50. What's good for that? Kontact? it has to
    come with great presets.

    Suggestions?
