Dear all, Downloaded free Anvil Studio a few days ago. Stumbled into problems getting the 'MIDI Out' running correctly. I fail to be able to playback MIDI files via my computer on my synth. On the other hand: playing on my synth manually, shows via 'MIDI In' within Anvil, so recording works correctly. In Anvil Studio, from the menu I ran 'View|Synthesizers' and in the appearing window I set both 'MIDI In Port' and 'MIDI Out Port' to 'MPU-401'; also in this window I unchecked 'General MIDI' from the 'Synthesizers' checkbox, no other synth shows. Computer: Windows XP SP1 Home Edition; latest Anvil Studio software; soundcard is pretty standard but has MPU-401 compatibility. Synthesizer: Yamaha SY22. I checked the wonderful Yamaha Corporation of America SY22 Knowledgebase for my setup. All done exactly as told, but still no result.(To find the KB - it's a lengthy URL- run a google on 'sy22 xp driver'; the KB URL appears on the first query result page.) So: anyone with a perfectly running computer/Anvil Studio setup may perhaps be able to point me to some nasty setup thingy that I must have missed...? Any and all help is highly appreciated. Thanks!
