OK, these are probably easy questions, but I haven't had much success in getting answers just trying to research it on my own. Coming from a guitar background, I used to play the piano a little, and I just bought a Roland JV-90 from a friend I used to play with. So I am starting to get into playing some keys. I see several different types of keyboards listed in, let's say, a Music 123 Catalog: Workstations, Controllers, Synthesizers...... what is the difference? I would like to plug the JV-90 into the computer via a midi cable and use it in Cakewalk Music Creator. Will the JV-90 do this? Or is it too old? I got the manual for the thing, but quite frankly it's a little difficult to understand whether it does this or not. As the software seems to advertise, one should be able to access a world of different sounds by using the computer, but again I don't know if the JV-90 will do this or not. Is that what a Controller is for? Perhaps there is a website that explains a lot of this already, but I am too ignorant of even the terms I should be looking up to find them..... referrals? Thanks for any input. dave
