Changing Pattern on a song on PC 361

I use Kurzweil PC 361.
If I want to use it as an "arranger" keyboard I use
1) Song mode
2) Some drum as a rhythm pattern
3) I use one channel to play on - let's say piano or organ isially on Chanel 5
QUESTION
If I want to change the drum pattern ( like one can do on arranger keyboard)
Can I do it, without changing the "song"?
Maybe triggering Riffs? Has someone used this?

I think it's doable with riffs but I'm not sure exactly how you'd go about it.
