My church has a Kurzweil KZ2600 which has a SCSI port. I would like to connect a laptop to the keyboard using a USB to SCSI adapter cable. 1. Will this connection work? If it does, will there be data transfer speed reductions? 2. Must I load driver software in the keyboard to facilitate this connection? 3. If so, where can I get the driver and will the driver fit on a floppy disk, since this keyboard only has a floppy disk drive? Only one way to find out I think....... I suspet any drivers that will be needed will need to go on the laptop, not the keyboard. What exactly are you wanting to achieve? The Y-man
I will use various sounds from my laptop to expand available sounds which I can play on the Kurzweil.
Not sure if that would work as the Kurzweil requires correct termination of the SCSI chain. I've never heard of anyone using a SCSI to USB adaptor succesfully with a Kurzweil. Try asking here : Mastering VAST
