Any info/guesses on when an "Essentials" version of Cubase 5 might be available? I have SE3 running on a Vista laptop & considering upgrade to Cubase 4 Essentials, but perhaps I should wait until I can jump straight to v5. Thanks in advance for any help &/or opinions, Al

Thanks for the suggestion, Bas. From http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=110251&highlight=essential Posted: Fri Jan 16, 2009 8:30 pm "The Cubase Essential 5 will come later this year." & from http://www.steinberg.net/en/company...cubase-5-grace-period-update-process-478.html "customers who have bought Cubase 4 between December 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009, ... are eligible to obtain a Grace Period Update to Cubase 5 at a special price". So it looks like Steinberg are only making that offer for a very narrow window ahead of the launch of the new version, perfectly reasonably IMO, so I probably won't take the risk of upgrading twice this year. Thanks again for the answer. Al
