Hi everybody, If I want to use a Reason instrument in Rewire slave mode, I create a MIDI track and route its output to the appropriate Reason device. However, when I later reopen this project, then start Reason, then load the Reason file, Cubase 5 lists all the Reason instruments as "Not Connected", and so I have to manually reassign tracks to instruments. In earlier versions, Cubase remembered which Reason instrument was assigned to each track. Manually reassigning tracks is annoying and can lead to errors. I know the Cubase program must be started before the Reason program; but is there any specific order in which the Cubase project and the Reason song file should be opened, in order to have Cubase remember what goes where? A more fundamental question: am I right in believing that, when you have multiple Reason files open, the instruments available in Cubase are those of the last Reason file that had focus? (Which would be pretty kludgy in any case.) I.e. there is no way (that I know) to point Cubase at one specific Reason file, out of the ones that are currently open. But I may be mistaken. Advice will be appreciated. Jos. -- Ardis Park Music www.ardispark.nl

Answering myself, in case anybody is paying attention: it might just be that the following order helps: start Cubase start Reason open Reason song file open Cubase project Jos. -- Ardis Park Music www.ardispark.nl
