    Hi-

I can't for the life of me find this thread. Darn! It was about how to
display/scroll lyrics in sync with SONAR during a live performance.

Don't remember the thread but it's done by matching every syllable in the
    lyrics with a MIDI note.

    Hi Ricky-

I know about that method, but it's really icky and cumbersome! I
could've sworn someone else came up with a better idea a few months
back. It's not for me -- I'm trying to help someone out on the <gasp!>
    web forum!

    Thanks-

I vaguely remember that thread. I think one of the suggestions offered was
to use powerpoint on a laptop. You might try using "powerpoint" as a search
word to help locate the thread.

    Hi Susan,

This isn't an exact fit to what you're looking for, a thread started by
"bigpond" on or about January 26th, titled "karaoke files in sonar". I
saved the final solution, also posted by bigpond:

Sorry, that's all I've got on this topic. BTW, I've often used GNMIDI and
for many purposes, it's a great little tool.

I believe this is the thread you were looking for:

    http://groups-
    beta.google.com/group/cakewalk.audio/browse_thread/thread/8f62a1f90752b781/
    a2612fd87b0d6a6c?q=(scroll+OR+sync+OR+sonar)+group:cakewalk.audio+author:Su
    san+author:G&rnum=73#a2612fd87b0d6a6c

Err... or just group google "help, please - playing live?" but use the
advanced page to limit the search to cakewalk.audio.

Thanks much, Sue! This is an hour+ audio-only project, and the guy is
trying to avoid having to enter lyrics via MIDI tracks. So it probably
won't help him, but *I'm" glad to know about GNMIDI!<g>

    Thanks again-
