So I've been toying with the idea of building an isolation booth for my
acoustic drums, a room in my room so to speak, and while looking around the
internet for ideas, I came across this "drum room" of Todd Sucherman. He's
the drummer for Styx and has worked on albums with Brian Wilson, Brian
Culbertson, Steve Cole and the Falling Wallenda's. Anyway, as I was
checking out his "drum room", http://toddsucherman.com/drumroom_main.htm
I found out that he was the drummer that played with Spinal Tap on their
Tonight Show appearance, and has what he referrs to as his most prized
    possession. The set list. http://toddsucherman.com/drumroom/11setlist.jpg

I hope he made the booth out of flame retardant material in case of
    spontaneous combustion.

Actually my first order of business is to build one of these window plugs.
    http://www.customaudiodesigns.co.uk/articles/howtowindows.htm
The house next door on the side my studio is on, had been empty for several
months, during which time I bought my acoustic drums, but just this weekend
new neighbors moved in, so I gotta do a bit of soundproofing, starting with
the window that faces their house. After I get that accomplished, I
thought it might be cool to build a little 6' x 6' drum booth on a floating
floor, which would both make it so I can play at a comfortable level (which
gets WAY freeking loud with acoustics), and maybe get a few mics and use
them for recording. More than anything, I'm concerned about the fact that
I'm broadcasting for about a one block radius.

I don't think I have ever seen such expensive diffusers. I have seen some
with curved shapes before instead of those square wooden things, but nothing
like these.....Oh you can hit them too?? What will you be using for
    diffusers?

Hehe, I'll be using something smaller than piles of drums to break up the
reflections. This is kind of what I'm thinking about building for a drum
booth. Only a bit bigger and a whole lot cheeper than the $4,500 they want
    for their 6' x 6' version. http://www.whisperroom.com/big436.html#photo
