I bought a K2600R from a dealer in NJ, along with the SMP-2R sampler
option, to be installed by me. No instructions were included. I need a
few questions answered, which neither my dealer nor Kurzweil (nor
Sweetwater for that matter) could or would answer.

First question; does the SMP-2R actually *work* in the K2600R?
Everything lines up mechanically, but the 34-pin ribbon cable is too
short to reach what I assume is its destination socket, marked
"sampler". I've scoured the web for any info, but all I can find is that
the SMP-2R will work in the K2500R; no mention is made of the K2600R.
The SMP-2X is listed as working with the K2600R.

Second question: if this is the right sampler for the job, is it simply
a matter of finding a longer ribbon cale to slip into place, or are
there other resistors, etc. needing removal or adding?

Does anyone out there have a copy of the installation instructions they
    could shoot my way??
