    Hi everyone,

So yesterday, I did it: I isntalled cubase 5.

My very first thought was: much too dark.
This has nothing to do with performanc. Well not directly.

I spent litlle time with the softwares, but I can't seem to get used to
it. I feel like my display is not working correctly.

I remember saying to myself that it had to be a scheme to force the user
to use the brand new "skin changer" of cubase 5.
But so far, there is no "skin changer" in sight.

Am I the only one who is bothered by so much darkness and contrast (I'm
not a big fan of the playskool colored buttons, but that I can deal
    with, I think :)

The marketing department tell them every new version must look
different. But really they just do it to annoy us :)

It really doesn't matter. Use it, you'll stop noticing after a bit.

It ought to be under file/preferences/display...a whole bunch of
little sliders to vary the "intensity" of each colour...or at least,
it was there in SX3 ;-)

Thanks :) It is still there. I never used it before (for SX1), but I
think I'll spend a bit of time with it as soon as I regularily work with
    Cubase 5.
The background doesn't seem to be really tweakable, but I'll get used to
    it, like it's been said.

    Thanks
