My Juno 106 has a background noise controlled by the VCF. The hum is
roughly a middle C but will change to a G when a G key is depressed.
I'd seen another posting where someone had a similar problem. Does
anyone here know what is causing this and how I would go about fixing
    it?

    Thanks

    I'd say that's the 80017A (VCF/VCA) chip that went bad. It's a Roland
proprietary component. There are always some for sale on eBay. Usually
about $65 US. have three JUNOs. Just bought one of those to fix the
same or similar problem on one of mine. When I lived in St Paul I'd have
The Good Guys in Minneapolis fix them. Bought there services twice.
