I've fiddled around with the idea of combining a micro drum set with a keyboard instrument of some sort for a while before, and I was wondering what was everyone else's opinion of it. Long have I felt that a keyboard instrument can't provide a solid percussion beat, which is a major part of modern music. It can play modern music independantly, but for me the beat was always the thing that was missing from it. Personally, I haven't needed to use my left foot very much to soften the sound of any keyboard instrument, so I thought why can't one stick at least a bass drum (maybe a snare and cymbal combo too operated via foot pedal) for the left leg?

Information overload is what I think will be the major hindering factor, as well as getting tired from continuous pedaling (though possibly the system could be electrically controlled and spring-loaded instead of physically weighted). Have never played drums myself so I can't really give an honest opinion on that though.
