I have changed the battery in the korg m1 and need to restore factory presets. I have downloaded the correct file and instructions for doing so from Korg.com. I also found some other instructions from other sites but none of them match. Something is missing. I have set all midi filtering to "enable", turned all memory protection "off", have midi channel set to "1", I have tried the procedure with all different "pages" showing on the m1 screen. I've tried it with the clock set to "int" and "ext". The computer shows the dta being sent but the M1 doesn't respond. Nothing changes when the m1 is powered off then back on. The cables and output settings are correct, I can dump data from the m1 to the computer wthout problems, so I think something is set incorrectly on the m1 itself. I've seen lots of posts asking for the same information but on good answers....Anybody?? Thanks, kr.
