Hello everyone, I am interested in buying a keyboard, not for making music but for a wierd project. =) I am not sure but I remember that there were keyboards that you can record sounds for each key on a keyboard and than play with those recorded sounds. Are there such keyboards? If you know any, can you suggest me the simplest and cheapest one? I want it to be cheap because there is a big chance that I might open it up and use the system inside it. =) cheers. Oguz
Yes, they still exist, they're called samplers. They are a bit hard to find as they have been largely replaced with software versions but you could probably find a second hand one. The main thing to look for is memory size - the bigger the better. Also, see if you can find a manual before you buy to check that you can assign different samples to each key as a lot them only allow one or two sounds on the whole keyboard. Obviously keyboard size as well, depending on how may sounds you want. Let us know how you get on!
