Hi -- I'm thinking about buying my first keyboard and am not sure where I should start looking or what sort of keyboard I should be looking at.

Mainly, I want something that will give me a versatile sound. Is there a keyboard out there that will give a good piano sound and organ sound, as well as some more ambient post-rock-style sounds?

I'm not really looking to spend more than $1000. I'm expecting to drop around $800 or so, but could potentially be persuaded to go slightly higher for a really good/versatile keyboard for a beginner.

Any suggestions or ideas where I should start?

    Thanks

I think I would like one with weighted keys, as well/

Two I am looking at are the Kurzweil SP 76 and Yamaha YPG635, which sound like they may fit the bill for what I am looking for. Anyone have any thoughts?
