Don't know why but my computer can't handle much in the way of halion tracks so I want to print the midi files to real audio and try to relieve some of the CPU. How do I do that. I have search and would think it was an easy thing to do - getting desperate here! Thanks

Solo a Halion MIDI track with the L and R markers showing the beginning and ending of the part you want to record. File -> export -> audio mixdown. Repeat as necessary

If it´s SX2 or newer, you can choose the mixdown "source channel" in the mixdown window. That will lead to the same result as solo-ing the "instrument channel" for a VSTi and you can choose to import the mixdown file automatically into the project (on a new audio track), if you wish to. The L and R locators must, of course, be set the same way as with the "solo" method. ;-) That means, according to the length of the MIDI events - better leave some additional "space" at the end, so the sound generated by the last note isn´t cut-off in the audio mixdown. > Solo a Halion MIDI track with the L and R markers showing the > beginning and ending of the part you want to record. > > File -> export -> audio mixdown. > > Repeat as necessary Or, again with SX2 and newer, you can use the "freeze" function. Search the PDF manual for details, how it works and what it does. ;-) Hope that helps, Phil

I've been using cubase exclusively since Cubase VST first came out. I'm on Cubase 5 now..... you'd think I could figure this out already Anyway, thanks for saving my last 3 brain cells.
