There is an opton in midox to use "midi mapper" as an output. There isn't
much info on it that I can find and what there is refers mostly to older os.
Is it of any use and is it part of XP?
    Thanks

    Yes, it is of use.
Start; Control Panel; Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices; Sounds and
Audio Devices; Audio (tab); MIDI music playback
This would be your system setting instead of MIDI-OX.

I have MIDI-OX but don't know where that option is. Probably because I
don't use it. If I need something like that I use a very small and
    simple app called MidiThru.
