So I finally got around to making the run of CAT6 between my studio and bedroom, so that it no longer is on Wireless N. I had been using one of those cheep Kworld USB HDTV tuners on the computer in my bedroom for HiDef, and using Beyond TV over Wireless N for all other TV. It was a bit cumbersome having two different softwares to fire up. One for HD and one for SD. Anyway, I've now got that machine hard wired to my network, and can stream both SD and HD using only Beyond TV, and I got rid of two USB things on that machine. The Wireless N adapter, and USB HDTV tuner, which can now be used elsewhere. -- Remove YourHeadFromYourAss to Reply by email ________ __ / ____/ /__ ____ ____ / /_ ____ / / __/ / _ \/ __ \/ __ \/ __ \/ __ \ / /_/ / / __/ / / / / / / /_/ / /_/ / \____/_/\___/_/ /_/_/ /_/_.___/\____/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- Glennbo http://www.soundclick.com/glennbo Non-Linear Sound http://www.soundclick.com/jambits Hear My Music http://www.soundclick.com/ThePseudonyms

Yep, it turns out they were just a precursor to cool! -- Remove YourHeadFromYourAss to Reply by email ________ __ / ____/ /__ ____ ____ / /_ ____ / / __/ / _ \/ __ \/ __ \/ __ \/ __ \ / /_/ / / __/ / / / / / / /_/ / /_/ / \____/_/\___/_/ /_/_/ /_/_.___/\____/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- Glennbo http://www.soundclick.com/glennbo Non-Linear Sound http://www.soundclick.com/jambits Hear My Music http://www.soundclick.com/ThePseudonyms

If your viewing habits are anything like mine, just in time to NOT need to record anything All the good shows ended for the season!! That's cool though, you can add it to the BTV box, cant have too many tuners on that thing.

Yeah, my queue for recording is pretty slim right now, but since I showsqueeze everything to DivX, my bedroom computer was able to playback recorded shows using Wireless N, provided they had already been squeezed. What I couldn't do with the machine in the bedroom was watch live HDTV or shows that had either just recorded or were in progress with recording. Now that I have that machine hard wired to the network, I can do everything with it that I can do with my DAW and HTPC, as far as video is concerned. That now makes it so I can run live HDTV on five different machines around the house. On the HTPC in my livingroom, DAW in the studio, Eee PC on Wireless N out on the patio, my kid's computer, and now my bedroom too. -- Remove YourHeadFromYourAss to Reply by email ________ __ / ____/ /__ ____ ____ / /_ ____ / / __/ / _ \/ __ \/ __ \/ __ \/ __ \ / /_/ / / __/ / / / / / / /_/ / /_/ / \____/_/\___/_/ /_/_/ /_/_.___/\____/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- Glennbo http://www.soundclick.com/glennbo Non-Linear Sound http://www.soundclick.com/jambits Hear My Music http://www.soundclick.com/ThePseudonyms
