Finally I have my Moog Modular on an Apex stand sitting above a couple
JUNO-106's. It's an IBM ThinPad loaded with Artuia Moog Modular V2.
I'm running XP Home Service Pack 3 and off the home net.

No crackly knobs or intermittant cable failures. It doesn't sound
quite as bright and sweet as the the real McCoy. GIGO gets in the way
a bit on the DAW side but it works quite well through the Yamaha 01v
    mixer.

    <Moog Modular>

That thing sounds AMAZING! There might actually still be a patch or two that
I wrote in the preset banks. I did some for version 1, but I'm not sure
they're still there in V2. The best of the Minimoog V and the Moog Modular
are in the EXCELLENT Analog Factory. It's great having all those instruments
(including the CS80, Jupiter, Arp 2600) all in one instrument that allows
you to set up a favorites bank. Arturia's Analog Factory 2 is one of my
favorite and most used instruments on ANY productions I am working on.

I looked for your patches the very first time I popped it on. Not
    there. :-(

I'm excited about setting up the V2 like this - practicly a childhood
    dream com true.

There were some on the MiniMoog V and in the Analog Factory v1. I was proud
to see those there since I spent a lot of time tweaking them and getting
them the way I liked them. The Mog Modular and MMV are sooo easy to program,
    very user-friendly. Unlike Sonar :).

And thank the Spaghetti Monster for that! :-D
I spent a good part of my youth making patch cables and cleaning jacks
on one one of those Mog monsters and several 2600s. But it was good, though!

How about the woopin' the 9ers put on the Vikes? I sure hope they
tighten it up a little for Oakland... ;-)

Errggghhhh! Seems to be an "o" missing from my keyboard :)

Or maybe I was referring to the not very popular Mog synth, which sounded
similar to the one Bob Moog invented but with a Clark chip which made it
    sound....different :)

    Arf!
I didn't really know how fortunate I was until years later. At the time
it was just a gig in a university Electronic Music Center. ;-)

Well, I don't think Montana and Young would play in a band together ;)

    ROTF ! ! !
    Hey, speaking of Neil Young.
I know he's made more money than I'll ever see in the music business, or any
business for that matter, so for that I'll give him my respect......but a
few weeks back I'm installing a climate control system in a grand piano and
the owner says "do you mind if I put on some music while you're doing that",
    and I say sure!
So he puts on Neil Young's Harvest(?) album.
Man, I never hears so many ****ing bad notes in my life. And that was just
the guitar playing! I was thinking it would be a great weapon against
    terrorists.
But I had to ask him to turn it off 'cause I couldn't concentrate on what I
    was doing ;)
No offense to any N.Y. fans intended :)

Hehe, every time I hear Neil Young on the radio, I use my most cheesy
falsetto voice to sing "Hey hey, my my. Neil Young tries to sing to high.
It's better to turn him off, than to let him play. My my, hey hey." ;)
