Hi all, I'm a professional sideman who uses the XV-88 as his main
synth live. I have a good deal for somebody, a chance to make cash for
doing essentially nothing. Here's why. I love everything about my
XV-88 except one thing: over the last year, on 2 or 3 occasions and
for less than half a second each time, something has caused a cluster
of low notes to sound all at once. It sounds like I just kind of
pushed my left hand down on a bunch of notes. I can't tell you what a
tiny, unlikely problem we're talking about here for people who use
their XV-88 to play at home, to record (where on the 1-in-1,000 chance
it happens for a half-second, you could edit or go over it), or to gig
with bands that play with any substantial volume. For all I know, it
may never happen again. And otherwise, the keyboard is in completely
    perfect working order.

However, for me, it feels like a huge problem, since I gig with a
couple of artists who often play very quietly in rooms with great
sound fidelity. I worry that this very rare, quick sound-pulse thing
will happen at an extremely quiet moment during a show.

As a result, I'm looking to simply trade XV-88s with someone
(preferably within driving distance of NYC) who isn't quite that anal
or anxious about something like this. In exchange for someone willing
to trade with me, I'm willing to add $100 CASH, and I'm willing to
personally drop my XV-88 off to you and pick yours up.

PLEASE, if you or someone you know owns an XV-88 and would like to
make $100 for taking on what for most people would be an irrelevant/
negligible risk, I'd love to know ASAP. Of course, I'd be happy to
talk in more depth about my keyboard with anyone or show it to anyone
    who is interested.
