    Hi all,

I'm new to this group. I just recently bought a K2600. I want to use a
certain program in one of my sequences. The problem is that this certain
program sounds best with the effects that are assigned to it by default.
When I place the program in my sequence, of course it uses the effects
assigned to my sequence instead of those it would normally have on its own.
I do not want to apply the effects from the original program to my entire
sequence as they are not appropriate for all of the other programs. So I
guess my question is... Is there a way to apply my desired effects to just
this one program and keep the existing effects assigned to the other
programs. I'm sorry if this sounds confusing... It's just as confusing for
me, but I'm hoping that someone can help. Thanks

It can be done (just about anything is doable on a K), but it might take some
    tweaking and compromise.

Effects on the 2600 are organized in "studios". There are 4 stereo busses +
an aux buss in each studio.
You need to go into edit mode of the program that needs it effects and
determine exactly what effects on what busses
are making the sound. Edit that studio to contain the additional effects you
require for your other sounds, then write
the new studio configuration to memory. Final step(s) is to create editied
versions of each program you are using in the
sequence so that the same studio is assigned to all programs in the sequence.
That way, even when you are in program mode,
the right sounds and effects will be at your disposal.
