Hehe, the Equinox will in fact be happening on September 22, but it was
the way the light looked outside as I got into my car last Friday that
inspired the title. The shadows and the look of the light comeing from
the Sun felt like Fall, and reminded me of the coming Equinox. Sunday,
I put this jam together, and named it Equinox coz Fall is in the light! ;)

kewl! and I love the ending! ;-)

The only thing I would comment on is the piano part in the first 30 seconds sounds really
mechanical. Did you play iyt in by hand? If so maybe Poly could give a hint as to makeing it sound a
little less so? Maybe some sustain pedal on the longer notes? (1 and 2&)

    Anyway - cool tune!

    Thanks John!

I played all the parts by hand on this one. I play piano like a bear
paws an unatended ice chest at a national park! ;)

Maybe Poly can give instructions how to edit the MIDI notes to make it a little better?

    Tanks mon! :)

The piano and trumpet in the intro sound like the sound of the piano
and trumpet from Dionne Warwick's "Walk on by", so I got all 1963'd
out for the first half of the song. <g>

"Edit the MIDI notes"??? Couldn't I just record the track again, playing
it better if it really bothered me that much? Surely that's easier than
redrawing the notes by hand in an editor. There are some things I'd change
about what I played on the drums, now that I'm way more familiar with the
arrangement (I was making it up as I went along Sunday), but if I were to
expend any new energy on music, it would prolly be spent on whatever the
next new thing is that I throw together on a Sunday morning. ;)

Sure - but I was just suggesting lengthening a few of the notes. That would only take 5 mins. ;-)

    Thanks again Poly! :)

I totally dig the pop music of the 60s. Along with some of the most
progressive instrumental jazz I have on my phone, I also have stuff
like The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Animals, Aretha, Dianna Ross,
Carol King, Four Tops, The Zombies, Classics IV, Sly and the Family
    Stone, The Temptations, etc.

When I heard the trumpet I found in the Proteus VX, I instantly
thought of the song "Walk on by", and then I realized that the
Jazz Baby piano I was using had a similar boxy tone that was also
similar to the same song. After that I just ran with the 60s vibe
until I took that wrong turn at Albequerky. ;)

It tried to DL that Proteus VX, and I registered, but they never sent me a
letter back. Master Ray has the full "X2" version that came with his MIDI
interface, but he hasn't tried it yet.(

I don't remember there being any kind of registration needed for the
Proteus VX. Seems like I only had to scroll down to the bottom of a
long agreement and click "agree" to get the download. Maybe they've
changed it. I dunno, but I sure do keep finding usable sounds in it.
