It's a two minute trip around the world!

Thirty Two tracks, fifty seven effects, 35% average CPU use.

I call it "Musica Mundus" at:

This is *fun*!!! I love the way the all the percussion bits swap around,
and the rhythm and mode change thing at 0:45.

I gotta ask, though... did you genre-class it as "World Fusion" just because
it has steel pans in it? ;-)

    Thanks Michael! :)

Poly's solo over my five groove is ****ing awesome in that section!

Nah, I put it in that genre coz it goes Western in the intro, and
goes kinda Eastern around :45, and then goes Latin at 1:05. ;)

You guys really have it down from all I've heard outta you both (and
especially outta both of you together)... and you deserve the props for the
music and production both, so there's no need for thanks: but I *am* still
waiting to hear something in the 2:50 to 5:00 range from *your* offerings
    and collaborations. ;-)

    > Poly's solo over my five groove is ****ing awesome in that section!

I suppose mighta called it "prog/fusion" or something like that for the same
reason... I haven't looked much at their classification options: do they
even allow for such a genre-name?

One day I'll find a few 2 minute songs on my machine that are about
the same tempo and key, and I'll paste 'em together to make one long
song that's like the Energizer bunny! ;)

It's some of the hottest playing I've ever heard him do on a solo!

They never seem to have a genre that fits my music well, so I just
grab one that has some word or words that I might use to describe it.

Thanks! It was the most difficult mix I think I've ever done, and now
that I've played it a couple hundred times, there are a couple slight
modifications I'm going to do. With 32 tracks of all cool stuff, you
gotta work to make 'em all get heard. ;)

    > That was a fun one to play on for sure!!!

You played your ass off on it too. Some of the best shit I've heard
    you do on the solos.

    Thanks Steve!

Hehe, the "Western" hemisphere is the annoying bit. I told Poly
that I wanted the first section to be like popish music that goes
for a while to lull you into thinking that was going to be it.

Then we could throw you for a loop when the 5/4 and 6/8 sections
come in later in the song. ;)

Maybe I could throw 10 or 15 convolution reverbs in the mix and get
Reaper to use more of my CPU. ;)

Thanks man. Appreciate the kind words. Your playing is killer on this tune.
Nice groove! It's so much better playing with a "real" drummer. It
    definitely gets me going.
And there's one descending bass line that you do that really makes the song!

That bass like was one of the most fun bits I've played with it's
undulating effect against the other parts. :)

I think it would be so much better if it was 64 bit!

Seriously - I htink it's just a tease too. It's kinda just getting warmed up ;-)
I think the first part is a little 70's "Edgar Winter"-ish, yeah slightly annoying. Then it opens up
really nicely. Nice mix, great solo (I wish I could play like that without programming the notes
    individually) ;-)
Maybe you can write "part II" and just bolt it on?

Well, Reaper is 64 bit internally, even though I run it at 16.
I was again quite pleased, being able to burn a CD copy of it
for my car, right from Reaper's time line. :)

    Thanks John!

That's what I keep saying I should do, just paste a couple of my
songs together, to make one longer song! <g>
