Hi Keyboard player is seeking a new palette of sounds in a modular synth or sampler. I can't afford the newest or best... so what's out there on E-bay etc.? I am not into tweaking sounds and doing synthesis editing, so just a module with lots of cool factory sounds. Any impressions of specific Emu proteus sounds? Mo-Phat or Orbit (I need lead sounds, not drum loops tho)? What about Akai samplers? I dont want something cheesy like older gen midi/ FM modules. I currently use a Roland , a Kawaii and a Korg keyboard. A new unit would be for SOLO sounds (not piano/organ/string... already have those)... so I am looking for some Phat killer analog sounding cool filter sweepy over-driven not-heard everywhere else solo sounds. NO.. I will not take a computer to gigs... NO software stuff. Help! post your dream killer synth soloing sound sources in a module! Thanks +Tripp
