http://www.audiomulch.com/ Ross Bencina's AudioMulch is one of my favorite programs. I use it a lot when I run out of ideas and get frustrated with the linearity of Cubase. I also use it for the creation of loops and colors, and the resynthesis of recorded lines. Boiled down to its essence, it is a nearly endless stomp box chain for audio - with MIDI wrangling capabilities. It allows the use of almost any VST plug-in, including instruments - but no MIDI note sequencing. While there are a few "normal" objects in the native program (step drum, step bass, arpeggiator, reverb, EQs, delays), some of the native processing plug-ins are much more... interesting. Stuff like the granulators, experimental filters, various flavors of loop players. It can be used in a conventional manner, but Ross has maintained it as a platform for experimental music. I'll be first in line to purchase the new rev.

Reason has a better granulator (the Maelstrom), plus it has good MIDI wrangling. Reason also has a better loop player if you are into that kind of thing. Rewire makes it pretty seamless.
Yeah Audio Mulch is cool....Micro Tonic is pretty cool also. Terry "S.O.D.D.I." <> wrote in message news:... > http://www.audiomulch.com/ > > Ross Bencina's AudioMulch is one of my favorite programs.
