For those of you using torrent clients on Windows or Linux platforms: http://www.tixati.com/ Still in development and missing some 'niceties', but has a lot to like IMO. I've used µTorrent for ages. Latest versions are giving me a bit of trouble, so I decided to have look around. Spotted this one a couple of weeks ago and switched. Tixati is working very well here. As always, YMMV of course... -- Sue Morton

Tor is The Onion Router: <http://www.torproject.org/> which is used for privacy when accessing internet resources. BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer distribution method commonly used for large media files and ISOs of operating system distros. I don't think you can even use a BitTorrent client over Tor -- or if you could, it would be painfully slow, which obviates the point of using it really. I've just been testing Tor. I don't really have a need for it, but it's interesting to figure out how to set it up, and how it works. Cheers, Martin
Sorry I didn't mean to refer to anything other than abbreviation for a torrent client -- just trying to get the subject line past the 'censors' LOL -- Sue Morton "Martin Holmes" <> wrote in message news:twzgo.3640$... > On 10-09-04 09:14 AM, Sue Morton wrote: >> For those of you using torrent clients on Windows or Linux platforms: >> http://www.tixati.com/ >> >> Still in development and missing some 'niceties', but has a lot to >> like >> IMO.
