I haven't been in the loop of PA systems for a while, using Home-made Altec Lansing, but they are gfetting to much for me to carry around. Probably a lot of you go out and gig as 'one man' band, I assume. So, what is a very nice system that is small that sounds great for such a venue? Has to be solid enough for good bottom and drums for dancers, + good vocal sound as well. Bose used to make some good small stuff, but might need a low freq speaker separately. JBL used to make nice sounding speakers. Do they still? Local music store wants to sell me PV stuff. Any opinions? I would try to buy used, but would consider new if really really good sounding.
