open up your kurzweil, see the posting on changing your battery in this group for how to do this. note that the side panels need to be slid foward (towards you if you were playing it) to release. they are slide grooved into the chassis. once you have it all open, you will see 2 long circuit boards that are laid out along the keys. on the underside of these boards are little plastic 'bubbles', which are what get hit when you hit the key. these connect to the circuit board thru little tabs that are simply pushed in. you can carefully remove a section from where you are having a problem and swap them with a set from the lower end of the keyboard where you never play anyway. thats it. note, when i reassembled the board i noticed that everything now worked, so i think dust and dirt gets inside the bubbles and makes them malfunction. by my moving things around i guess i inadvertantly cleaned it. so, lifting them up gently and blowing them clean with some compressed air may work just as well. dont be afraid to move the keybard around a lot to reassemble it, gravity is your friend, and this thing is a drag to open and close.
