The Roland PCR-M1 is a two octave midi keyboard with a USB connection to a computer. I bought one of those at an online auction, but it seems that not all keys send data. With the help of a midi monitor (MIDI-OX), I confirmed that roughly half of the keys consistently don't send anything. At the same time, the DATA OUT light on the keyboard flickers only when the MIDI-OX receives data.
Some keys send data when I hit them harder. My conclusion is that the key contacts are broken or dirty.
Is there a way to repair or clean the keys? Any suggestions how to do that?
