Hi everyone, Any PC cubase user had 3 ways of displaying. Hre they are with the probleme I encounter for each of them: - video for windows: used to work like a charm on an old PC. Now, on my new machine, the first seconds are read correctly and then: black screen (inside the VFW windows, that is). Then the video frame stays black even if I read agin from the start - DirectX: works fine but only the first video on a video track can be read. I do'nt like this. - Qt: works fine in the window, but the full screen eats like 20% of CPU (no harware acceleration seems to be made). Bottom line: how can I correctly display the several videos that can be on my video tracks, according to you? Have you ever experienced these problems? Thx for your advice. Huey

I'm quite sure there's a setting somewhere for my video card (wich is a NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT, btw). For the moment, I'm looking into this direction, anyway. Huey

(but talking alone, I'm afraid ;-)

(but talking alone, I'm afraid ;-) Ok, i'm a bit ridiculous talking by myself like that, but the info could be useful to someone one day: this was caused by the codec. I switched to the MJPG codec of ffdshow and it works fine in the VideoForWindows version . No change in the problem with directX display, though. Good night everyone. HUey

I don't use video very often, but it mostly works. > this was caused by the codec. As I said, it works, unless it doesn't. Jos. -- Ardis Park Music www.ardispark.nl

Because ideally, I would use this DS display since it can be "full creened" with one click. But this "I only read the first video" bugs me. It does that with 2 different PCs, here. All with SX1. Huey

No, doesn't work. I have never noticed it, perhaps I have never used more than one video at a time. The screen freezes at the last frame of the first video, and never shows the second one. If you remove the first video, the second will play fine. This is Cubase SX2 here (yes, yes, planning to upgrade any day now). > Because ideally, I would use this DS display since it can be "full > creened" with one click. After all, Cubase was never intended as a video editing station. Jos. -- Ardis Park Music www.ardispark.nl

I'll post the result. - >After all, Cubase was > never intended as a video editing station. I do'nt think we can call it video editing It's only video synchronizing. Anyway, as long as one of the three display method works, I'm fine. Thx again. Huey
