    Hello people!

Ik have a question: If I want to use a midi controller keyboard with a sound module attached to it. Do I need to have a computer? This is important for live performace with my band.

    Thanks in advance,

    Yvo

Probably not, no. When people use computers onstage, the computer is used as a sound module. If you have another sound module, there shouldn't be any need for a computer.

Ok! Thanks for your information. :) So you only need a midi controller keyboard + a sound module + something like a keyboard amp/head phone to play?

Any examples of affordable sound modules? And can I add my own effects/edit the sounds of the module ?

Well basically you can get any keyboard in modular form. You can get a Korg Triton module for as low as 300$, or a Korg M3 module for as much as 1300$ on eBay. Just like in the case of keyboards it depends on what sounds you will be using the most. Just look on eBay, I am sure you'll find something that fits your needs and you budget.
