Hi, I have a roland digital piano. I also have a terratec dmx24/96 soundcard. I am trying to record the sound coming from my digital piano onto Cubase SX. The midi leads are connected, however, I also have to connect the audio leads. So I connected the Output L+R from the piano into the Line right/left of the soundcard and when I record I get nothing. I even tried connecting to the Phono left/right, but I don't get the audio sound recorded, only the Midi. I want to convert this into Mp3 so people can listen to it without it sounding like an amateur kiddies keyboard. How can I do this? I will appreciate your help greatly. Thank you, Yash
Hey. You're not trying to record the audio at the same time as the midi are you? because that would mean you were recording straight onto a midi track as opposed to an audio track and only the midi would get recorded. If it is an audio track you've selected to record onto and you're still not getting any sound in, make sure in the audio track's settings, that the input is set to the input on your sound card. If it is and you're still not getting any sound in, you could try taking the output from your keyboard's headphone socket instead (if it has one) and see if you get anything from there. Finally, if all fails, do a search on google for a freeware vsti keyboard plugin. That way you don't even need to worry about recording sound in. I recommend something like "mda piano". Take a look at http://www.computermusictutorials.com/index.php?topic=VSt Good luck dude! Joe Betro "Funky" <> wrote in message news:... > Hi, > > I have a roland digital piano.
