I have just replaced the battery on my PC88mx. After reassembly, I plugged the keyboard in and turned the power on. The display lights up, showing no words, with the top line fully lit (full blocks) and nothing lit on the second line. Is there a master reset that I can perform to reset the keyboard to factory settings? Thank you. Tom
Yes...I have a PC88MX and there IS a reset for the entire keyboard, however whatever you may have changed will be reset to factory settings. You must remember, this is a "hard" reset as al of the parameters on the PC88 are set to their initial factory state which includes all Setups and Effects. Just press "ENTER"...the display will as "are you sure"? Ken Tom Bixby wrote in message ... >I have just replaced the battery on my PC88mx. Tom, I just replaced my battery on my PC 88 as well. Because I read a couple of warnings about it, I was alert to the fact that one of the ribbon connectors was very shirt and easily becames unplugged when opening the board. I made sure I plugged it back in before closing the board back up. When I closed the board back up, it ran perfectly, though my user mixes were lost (until I can reload them from a saved disk). It is possible that you inadvertently have unplugged that connector or something else. If a hard reset does not work, try opening the board back up and look for lose connectors. Jean
