I have searched Google and read many posts about downloading the original
patches for the Roland U220 and have only come across broken links, and
lamers who say, "just to to the Roland website and you'll find everything
you need". This is turning into a wild goose chase. Can anyone here give
me an exact link, one that is working, and not an ftp site because I don't
have that set up on my computer.

All I want to do is reset the patches in the U220, since I bought it used
and whoever owned it last really screwed it up. Any help would be
    beautiful.

    Thanks

if you know somebody that has another u220, you can do a bulk dump from on
u-220 to the other. just make sure you do not do the dump backwards then
you will have 2 without patches. Another possible solution initialize
data. set the u-220 to Data/Init/All this will set all data in Temporary
and Setup and Jump Page data to the
factory setting. But if you want to set all the data to the factory
setting you need to see your Roland service center. In the future buy a
usb midi cable and a sequencer program and and do a Data/Bulk/All this
will transfer the data from Temp, Memory, Setup. In setup it transfers.
M.Tune, Effect, LCD, Midi, Map. In Setup/Parameter it transmit all
parameter values in the setup data other thans maps. in Setup/Map/All you
transfer Patch, Timber, Rhythm, Rhythm Inst. In Data/Bulk/Temp All, this
operation transmit data from the temp area (the data being edited) and are
    Patch, Timber 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 1-6, Rhythm Set. And in
    Data/Bulk/Memory/All you transmit Patch 1-64, Timber 1-128, Rhythm 1-4.
Hope I did not mix you up to much, good luck
