I often use "consolidate project audio", just to find out what audio files are currently in use in a project (I don't use it for backups, as it was intended). However - BEWARE (5.0.1) doesn't always copy everything in use to the backup folder! This is intermittent from project to project, but consistent for a given project - it either copies them all or it doesn't, every time, for that project. For example, on the project I have open right now, it only copies four audio files to the backup folder. I know for a fact there are 12 audio files in playback. None of the tracks still have edits, I 'bounced to clips' on all of them ages ago. I just verified this (by deleting everything from the audio folder that I don't believe is in use) (after making a backup of course!). The project opens correctly with the last audio files created for the tracks. Just as a test, I just now 'bounced to clips' again. Now 'consolidate' is copying all the audio files in that project! ???? Bug. -- Sue Morton

Hi Sue, You might want to put this on the on the official forum. It'll probably get fixed that way. I'm actually emailing all my "finds" to cake tech support. I don't trust that Cake catches all the bugs from that "other" place. My v-vocal thread was *pages* behind after only a few hours since starting the thread! Cake would have to do a LOT of reading to find something useful amonst all those posts. -- Sue Morton "Steve Karl" <> wrote in message news:aG_hf.868$ob4.293@trndny02... > Hi Sue, > > You might want to put this on the on the official forum. > It'll probably get fixed that way. > > Steve > > > > > "Sue Morton" <> wrote in message > news0Khf.25029$... >>I often use "consolidate project audio", just to find out what audio files >>are currently in use in a project (I don't use it for backups, as it was >>intended). >> >> However - BEWARE (5.0.1) doesn't always copy everything in use to the >> backup folder! Yes. That's all true. However if you get others looking at it they'll complain also.
