My K2000 has recently decided to stop talking on the SCSI bus. Unfortunately the internal hard drive has some important information on it I would like back, rather than having to re-sample/program it all. I have a SCSI card in my PC and when I connect the drive up to it, the Device Manager sees it but Windows Explorer can't show me what's on it, presumably because it's not in the correct format. Does anyone know how I can get the info from the drive (software I might use, for example) or what I could try to get the K2000's SCSI bus back? advTHANKSance, Phil.

This way you'll bypass the K2000's faulty SCSI circuitry and get straight to your data. Serge

Obviously, you had the drive formatted in Kurz, not DOS, format and therefore Windows doesn't know what to do with it. Here is a solution: Go here http://www.k2users.org/k2/k_util.htm and get the K-CD READ program. I'm thinking that will let you copy the entire HD to your Windows HD. If you get the files off, I'd suggest using a DOS format in the future (if your K2000 OS is high enough to allow this). That way, you won't have this problem again.
