I haven't installed it yet but did they happen to get in the feature request where when you use a per-clip gain envelope or track volume envelope to change the volume that the waveform changes also? (As in V-Vocal, Soundforge/Sony CD-Architect, etc.). -- Thanks, Ricky Hunt

I'm pretty sure the clip envelope gets processed before the track one - but they both work. -- =========== John Braner http://cdbaby.com/cd/JohnBraner http://www.soundclick.com/johnbraner
Add Samplitude and Sequoia to the list that supports this. The feature I'm talking about (which is a Godsend when comping and many other times) is when you change any volume envelope (gain or volume, clip or track) the waveform is scaled (up or down accordingly) to show the new volume in real-time. If you have a version of Sonar with V-Vocal: 1) Put V-Vocal on a track or clip. 2) Zoom in on a section where there's some good, fairly short "blobs" around each other and separated by a little space. (It doesn't have to be space but this is for clarity). You can zoom by pressing the Z key and using the magnifying glass. (Again, there's other ways but..). 3) Press the S key to go back to the Arrow Tool (Select Tool) 4) Click on the D button on the lower-left of the V-Vocal screen called Dynamics. 5) Now using your Arrow/Selection tool highlight a "blob". 6) You'll see a yellow line running through the middle of the window (and the blob). This is you volume envelope. As it is it's at zero gain. 7) Put your pointer over the yellow line until the double-headed arrow appears. 8) At that point click-and-drag up or down to change the volume accordingly. You'll see what I mean about the waveform changing in real-time. A lot of other apps do this and should be in Sonar too (you listening guys?). It's especially helpful if your ears are shot or you just want to get every thing in the ballpark without having to listen/stop/change/repeat-til-end-of-track. Also lets you get away with MUCH less compression for a more natural sound. I want it in the track view as even changing nothing but the volume this way with V-Vocal changes the sound. Man that was a lot of typing. Hope it was clear. Thanks for your time guys! Ricky pull up a clip in it, highlight a "blob" (a section of vocal separated by a little space from the "blobs" around it), highlight it (the blob),
