I just got a second hand Kurzweil SP76. The problem is that if you
play open chords with sustain pedal pushed on, the sounds immediately
    gets distorted.
If you leave the keyboard switched on for a while, than it will play a
distorted sound even with no sustain on. Any idea what the problem can
be, and if it's worth fixing ?

    Thanks

You do have the sustain pedal plugged into the "Switch" jack and not
the "Control" jack, right? It's easy to confuse 'em...

I used a higher current power supply (12v 3.5A) and the problem does
not show so far, it even sounds better now. Does it still have a
problem or has the original PS gone bad ? The original provides
exactly what the keyboard needs (0.5A)
