Hi. Does anyone use headphones while on stage. I am looking at joining a band and want to be ready from the outset so I am looking at two sets on eBay. I also need them to work with my iPhone. Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5vi Noise Isolating Earphones Verses Etymotic hf2 both sets cost just over £90 each. They have quite different ear pieces. Can anyone recommend any brand in particular. Does anyone use either of the above. Many thanks for any advice
I have tried the Shure PSM700 series, as well as the (better) Shure P4TRE3 wireless systems for my keyboard stage monitoring in the past. They work good but they are not inexpensive. I was never confortable with them and preferred preferred a 3-way (wedgestyle) concert monitor facing upward from under my stage set-up. I have doubts the Iphone type ear phones would give you very good quality in a live stage environment.
