I finally got the midi grooves within superior 2.0 to work.
However under EZ Player there are not that many categories.
I was able to find a NIRZ file that I had for awhile--never really did
anything but it had a file that said "DRag me into EZ Player"
I finally did that and Voila--tons of cool grooves under the heading NY
    Avatar>NIRZ NY Vol.1
My question is--I have purchased the NY Hit Factory, NY Allaire and Metal
Foundry as well. It has been so long since I installed from the DVDs--I
don't remember--but are there other grooves included somewhere. B4 I added
the NIRZ there were some cocktail grooves and a few pop grooves--not much to
work with. I would imagine there must be a ton of midi grooves available
somewhere for this program. Where do I get them?
-looking for Pop, Rock and Metal grooves, fills etc.
I was using the NIRZ and got close on a metal tune. I needed a tough 16
beat thing and was thinking this would be an easy metal beat--there's gotta
    be something. Who is NIRZ--(metal guy,--from Sweden...?...Toontrack
    affiliate...?...)
    where do I look?
    Thanks
    Jeff

The lost NY Studios grooves all show up under "Alliaire", and are also by
NirZ. NirZ is "Nir Zidkyahu" who was born in Israel. He's a session
drummer who's played on everything from Genesis and John Mayer to Billy
    Squire and Chris Cornell.

Are there add-on midi packs also for Hit Factory-OR-ANY-metal files for
Metal Foundry (cool double lick stuff/etc) and/or genres (ie
    blues-pop-rock) for this?
    thanks
    Jeff

All the expansion packs come with midi grooves, so I would expect that the
Metal Foundry would come with some metal groves. I don't have that one
myself, but every expansion pack I've bought came with midi grooves.

Hold off for a week or two. Can't say much more than that other than
there are a couple of things you might want to look at. Wait till both
of them show their little heads before you pull out your credit card.

So don't take advantage of the 1/2 off EZX and SDX at audiomidi?

I'm just talking about midi groove libraries for people into "Metal."
The Library of the Extreme II was one of them. There's another in the
    works elsewhere.

Glennbo needs grooves like he needs a hole in the head and if you are
after more drum sounds then definitely snag any discounted EZX or SDX.

He doesn't need a hole in the head? ;)

Ok then! Do you know if TT plan a Simmonds kit EZx at some point?
Probably quicker to try to program something like one with a soft
    synth...

And there is no hole in my head! My front bass drum head that is.

Okay I did some research-I read a review of Metal Foundry where it did speak
of great midi grooves by 2 guys:

"Finally, there's a library of MIDI grooves performed by extreme metal
heavyweights Dirk Verbeuren and Gene Hoglan - load them into your sequencer
and you can see precisely how these two titans do their thing."

When I load Metal Foundry in and go to presets I can load a kit that just
says midi by (2 choices) Dirk Verbeuren or Gene Hoglan but it is just their
kit presets --there are no grooves in my player and I'm not sure where to
find them. I looked all over my harddrives and also did a search and
nothing comes up. I'm unable to "check the help file and load additional
files that are available for free on the internet"according to the manual
because my DAW is not online.

I did purchase the NY add-ons plus the Metal Foundry along w/ EZ Player Pro.
I never did purchase the Claustrophobic or Twisted kit EZX which probably
explains why I don't get the sounds when I try to audition them-wondering
how those grooves got in there..?..(Maybe was a free add-on somewhere..?...)

For building the kits I have
    s1-Drummer
    s1-Cocktail
    s1-Percusssion
    NY-Hit Factory
    NY-Allaire
    The Metal Foundry
    NY-Avatar

When I go to grooves in the left column (>moving to right)I have
    Superior Drummer
    NY Avatar>NirZ Vol1
    EZ Player
EZ Player Pro Midi>Basic Kit Grooves
    Pop Rock EZX
    Cocktail EZX

    EZX Specific
    Claustrophobic EZX
    Twisted KIt EZX
    Latin Percussion EZX

I'm not seeing any midi files for anything other than what I have. Can you
guys tell me specifically which add-on packs you have and if they came with
midi files and where they are located?--Thanks again!

The correct and easy answer I have found on a youtube post. That would be:
Check your account in Toontrack. Click on any product and download
    updates/midi files.

Took me a couple hours-but I guess I had to figure it out for
    myself...duh/or (Simpson) Doh!
    Problem solved

I don't remember having to download the grooves for the Lost NY Studios
SDX, but maybe they went to that on the later sample sets.
