I am desperately trying to find a way to change the touch sensitivity of my keyboard in Sonar 4. I've examined the manual but I can't find anything on changing this, but a friend told me that it is possible to change the setting..( my keyboard doesn't have that option ) in the software... Can anyone tell me if it can be done in Sonar ? Ron

How would I eliminate all touch sensitivity? I am used to the old electronic keyboards that were either on or off. This new way of doing things causes me lots of grief. TIA Ed Cregger

What do you mean by change it? Are you trying to making a linear change or something like a curve? Sonar's MIDI FX called Velocity (which can really be thought of as a compressor) can help for linear stuff (or to remove it all together, like Ed wants to do). A third party product like this: http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/MusicLab/vm.asp set for Expansion could probably mimic altering the response curve.

Or else, just record your part, and then set all velocities to 100 (that's what I do for ie Hammond Organ parts). There's a CAL script for this. I can't remember the name of it but it sets minimum and maximum values for all selected MIDI notes. You just set min and max value to 100 (I have this script bound to a function key). -- John Braner http://www.soundclick.com/jbranermusic.htm "The Amazing Seismo" <> wrote in message news:... > > "Dave Mazza" <> wrote in message > news:qk1rd.34915$... > >> How would I eliminate all touch sensitivity? > > > > That has to be done on the keyboard. Why not just use the Velocity plugin? It's non-destructive and probably even works in real-time.
You could always just use "Interpolate" and set the velocities what ever you want. Paul "Ricky W.
