I got to put my paws on the new Triton TR at a local store and I liked it. It looked smaller than a Karma and was the first all black Korg keyboard I've ever seen. The size seemed like it was perfect for small venues, like a coffee shop or gallery. No touch screen, but it touts itself as a workstation, with inputs for USB storage and a Smart Media slot. The layout appears to be identical to the Triton. It sounded like a triton as well but I have no information at this time about the architecture of the board. I can only assume it's a triton on the inside. Any thoughts? It listed for $1600 but the shop I was at was selling it for $999. Good price it seemed.

The TR you're refereing to sounds like the 61 key model. $999 isn't a bad price for it. Its relitivly easy to use and it is listed as a work station. I was in this delema just a month ago, should I buy a TR 61 for the same amount as a Motif 6. After much to do, I bought the Motif its not user friendly like the TR , but the sound quality is MUCH better. The TR is a Triton, its a step up from the LE model that is now discontinued but not as good as the Extreme or the Studio model. Do yourself a favor before spening any $$$ Look at the Motif 6. you might just like it better.
