Greetings. I am looking for a VST sampler that has specific features. I believe I've covered the bases and done my research, but the your esteemed opinion would be appreciated, just in case I've missed something. The sampler must: - be a VST instrument (I don't need standalone); - include waveform editing; - allow me to set loop points in the waveform editor; - allow me to hear the loop adjustments in realtime; - include reverse or "ping-pong" looping; - allow me to assign different samples specific keyboard zones; - allow me to assign multiple samples to velocity layers. I don't need a vast sample library, I've got SampleTank for that. And I don't need it to import other sample formats such as Akai, Gigasampler, Samplecell, etc. I'll be using it for my own samples only. I know Kontakt and Mach Five provide these functions, but both programs require that I sacrifice my left nut to get them. So I want to make sure that I haven't neglected anything less expensive (such as any shareware VSTs) before I shell out the money. I've already made a mistakes with two other VST instruments, Absynth 3 and Kompakt, neither of which do what I want them to do, and both of which will be on eBay starting Sunday night under the name godzillarama. Feel free to bid if you're interested. Thanks for any advice I get. Godzilla
E-MU Emulator X sounds perfect for you but you need to buy the soundcard too (which isn't such a bad thing considering how good it is). -- Rev. T. H.
