I have been trying to get my (N3) VSTi presets (the synth patches stored in
the bvarious VSTi) to show up in C5 .

I located the "supposed" folder where the preset info is stored (according
to the NUENDO 3 manual), and copied all that info into the corresponding
folder in C5, but still no go.

Seems to be a different method for presets in C5 now . damn.there's gotta be
    a way surely ???

Can anyone shed any light here ??

    cheers,
    Hi-Soft

interesting problem. I´d expect C5 to be able to load N3 preset files, since
they´re (probably) stored in fxp or fxb format - maybe a newer version with
    more parameters, but basically compatible.
have you tried to store the files in a complete "independent" folder and
navigate there manually - through the "load preset/bank..." option in the
plug-in window frame? can the presets be loaded this way?

note: this is not a definite cure for your problem, but just a possible
    work-around! ;-)

hope that helps - if you want to try it, I´d be interested to read about
    your experiences....

    Thanks Phil,

hmmm, actually, I'm not talking about the "patches" that appear in the
"patch list" ( I think they are the "fxb/p" ?).

I'm talking about when you click on the little "floppy" icon in something
    like say the "V Station".

You get a "dropdown menu" and you can store a preset, or you can see all of
    your previous saved "presets".

I have stacks of these in all of my VSTI's, like Battery, Guitar rig, and
all of my synths. So they are not saved separately like a single "patch" or
    a "patch bank".

If it's not supported any more, it would mean the only way for me to access
all of those presets would be by loading an old song that used some of them
(as luckily they load at least the presets in use for a song). Then one by
one saving each preset as a "patch"..AND that's if that Patch is still
    supported...!!!

    OK I've sorted it out...

    IT"S NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE :(

So it means I have to go back to my previous boot up, with my old Nuendo 3
on it, then one by one load uo each one of my hundreds of "preset" sounds,
and then save the ONE by ONE into a new "preset" folder in C5 as a single
    "instrument"..great...nice one steinberg...WTF..

    cheers,
