    1. Reaper 3.72 is up and I purchased the Reaper video tutorials a few months
back that really helped me get into the ballpark with this DAW. The
tutorials are over four hours in length and money well spent IMHO.
Tutorials were done by a guy that did many Pro Tools videos and he prefers
Reaper for most things now. Reaper 4.0 is being touted as a pretty big
overhaul and will be available the first of next year.

    2. My recording studio was outfitted four months back with a UAD Quad Omni
with more plugs than I could ever imagine. Installation was a breeze on my
custom built Win7 64 bit machine and immediately I threw an LA2A, a Neve
1073 and an EMT 250 on my voice and within minutes dialed in some awesome
vocals. My latency with Reaper and the UAD card is extremely low and works
fabulously with live input monitoring so I can jam with my band using the
effects in real time in my studio and can record at anytime. I am in DAW
    heaven.

    3. I got a record contract. The old fashion kind with *no* social
networking involved whatsoever. See you all later putz faces and you know
who you are. You say big deal, well I don't know??????$??

    4. Giants win first game of the World Series and I get to be in San
Francisco all of next week to celebrate their first World Series win ever.
Wishful thinking I know!!! There is also the 129th AES convention in SF next
week as well. I saw Joe Montana and his wife sitting in the stands last
night on TV and am reminded of all the Super Bowl wins experienced there
when I lived in San Francisco. The city is going to go apesheet if they win
their first World Series. Freddy Sanchez kicked the Texas Rangers pitcher's
butt last night. First ever to hit three doubles in a row in a world series
    to start off the game.

    5. Blazers win first two games.

    6. This is by far the best year for me as a sport fan. Now you all go back
to your political whining. My teams are winning. Politics sucks dog wipes
or whatever it is called that people use to pick up their dog's excrement.

Oh, the world series is starting and I am recording it. Gotta go!

    Go Giants and Go Ducks!!!

    Backatchaboysandgirls!!!!!

I'll be buying a new license the moment that comes out. I started using
Reaper at v2.108, so my current license stops at 3.99

    That all must suck!!! ;)

Hiya HIO. Good to hear that you are still alive, was just thinking about
you the other day (and yes, you had cloths on)

Awesome! I will be revisiting Reaper over the next few months, as I'm
finally moving and will have a room dedicated to recording with all the gear
set up. Good to know about the video, I will order it and spend some time
really learning how to harness the power. Looking forward to 4.0 coming out
    too!

"Glennbo" > Way to go dood! Who with?

Cannot say. Just an "Executive Producer" at this point and I am not
signed,.................... yet. :-() I know you know the difference and
    thanks.

"Bob Donald" > Hiya HIO. Good to hear that you are still alive, ........

Always good to hear from you Bob. Let me know if you have any questions
    regarding the UAD card.

"polymod" > Congrats! Way to go!!!

Thanks Poly. I bought your record and hope to *give* you one of mine.

"rr" > Wow. I guess people in Oregon really do get record contracts. Way to
    go!

Thanks, miracles do happen but it is just an interested party that knows the
business well and is interested getting their name on my album and/or maybe
make a buck or two. See they probably won't see this because I am using my
    nym.

"Benjamin Goldman" > Congratulations, pal. Life is good. <ggg> Give us
    Part 2 sometime.

Here it is. No, I will post under my real name if and when it comes out and
pray nobody cross references all the personal and dumb stuff I have said
    over here throughout the years.

"Organfreak" > He loves to brag. I enjoy his posts; they're funny and
interesting. But, to date, he has never posted a single tune that he's done.
Instead, he has hinted that his name is someone we would recognize. If I
myself were someone like that, I'd be proud and I'd be posting my work. I
think it's all BS. So sue me. Whattaya think, Ted?

You know I just wrote you a scathing response to what you just wrote point
for point but I made the mistake of showing it to my wife and she told me to
tone it down and be civil so I will start again. I wasted a whole hour
defending my honor and making you feel like a complete turd. Never again!

Here is the toned down and civil version for the hard of hearing/reading.
    For you Oregonfreak!!!

    >Instead, he has hinted that his name is someone we would recognize.

Never said that or alluded to that. Stop smoking so much pot and you might
be able to discern fact from fiction and remember stuff. I said my real
name is *unusual* and anybody in the international world could find me in a
second and where I live, and I have posted a lot of personal stuff like my
faith, my drinking issues, politics, opinions on Islam, etc., that I would
never have posted if I was using my real name. Your head is so far up your
arse you cannot see this. Sorry, I have to remember I am writing the
    shortened toned down version.

This place and the other place has been kind of therapeutic for me over the
years because I am a very private person and prefer to keep my private parts
private so I came here and there with *very personal stuff* that I would
never share under my real name. Get over it already.

No, the truth is I am really a twelve year old boy making this all up in the
hopes to have a screenplay one day and you all will be in it along with your
egos and alter leggos too. It will be called "Newsgroup".

    > But, to date, he has never posted a single tune that he's done.

Just to set the *record* straight and no pun intended, I would then have to
post my real name for copyright reasons. It would also not be fair to those
that are putting up dollars by putting stuff out prematurely. That is what
I meant when I said I got a record contract. Semantics I know, but what
really is a record contract now anyway??? Believe me when I tell you I know
the fine print. In *my* case here and now it is someone that I deeply
respect and who knows the business and is putting up hard earned dollars to
be an "Executive Producer" and possibly make some money if I do well and/or
get signed. As an artist I feel affirmed and I am sorry you feel jello-ous
    of this.

Now if you continue to attack me I will impose upon you the wrath of my
former draft that would have given you chills up your Backdraft buckwheat!
You wanted so desperately for me to say false alarm but then I would be a
    liar.

    > Whattaya think, Ted?

Is he your boss now? I thought Danny Bois was.

I'm confused - I thought OrganFreak and Here In Oregon were the same person
    posting under different names.

Scott - are both of these you? If not, I'll just keep the OrganFreak name
and get rid of whoever the other guy is.

LOL! I don't know whether to feel complemented or severely dissed!

I, Organfreak, aka Scott Hawthorn, aka Farley Funke, am Here In Washington. I
would NEVER be there in Oregon. To quote the almost-great Dan Boonow:

    "Oregon is lame!"

    (Seriously folks: I love Portland)

He dissed you badly and he is just pissed because the Oregon Ducks
quacked/whooped on his USC Condoms. Some things in life are are are ah.....
    just beautiful.
