Where is the audio sample played by the "audio" metronome of cubaseSX1?

    Hi everyone,

I want to change the horrible bip sound used by SX1 to play the
    metronome sound.

I want to avoid using midi clic, so I already put aside the idea of
loading a LM9 to play the sound ;-)

But I figured out that when the "audio click" was active, Cubase was
simply playing a .wav that was located somewhere. But where could it be?

    Thx for your help.

I'm not so sure it is an audio sample in the fom of a WAV file. It sounds
'generated' in real time - it's just a couple of different 'beep' noises
with the first in every bar being different in pitch and volume. I might be
wrong about it being a generated noise, but that's what I've always thought
    it was

I think you're right about the generated "beep" metronome.

In Cubase Studio 4, under "Metronome Setup", you can select one of three
ways of generating that metronome sound - internal generation, MIDI out, and
selecting a sample from your hard drive.

When I still had a MIDI drum module (Alesis D-4) I used the MIDI option
almost exclusively. Now I use "beep" and I don't like it that much.
