I am going to rewire two Fender "M" Strats with these:

    <http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Electric+Guitar+Pickup/product/Wilkinson/Alnico+Strat+Set/10/1>

Even though they allegedly come from England, shipping is direct from HK.

Has anyone else discovered these, or better yet, these?:

I did look hard at that, but after seeing the reviews, and then watching
    YouTube, particularly

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ1w2vM4FVQ&feature=related

noise wasn't or has never really been my problem as much as authentic 2-4
    sound, like

    http://www.hln.org/index.php?title=Your_Love_Is_Killin_Me.

I do have a few HUSH and HUSHII channels for noise should it become a
    concern.

The Noiseless feature isn't the primary for me. I like the way they sound.

I wish there was a good A-B video review of the WV Wilkies versus the
Fender Vintage Noiseless up somewhere. The ones already there of the
Noiseless sound pretty much like the Fender 60th Anniversary/Buddy Guy
stock pickups I have already, while the Wilkie demos all sound more
vintage than even the fat 50's and Custom Shop Fender vintage, being
specifically voiced for "quack," and possibly because they are Fresh
    Alnico, not intentionally aged.

Of course, the value of the Wilkie Vintage for near true crosswound
Boutique sound is unbelievable, but AFAIK and guaging from testimonials,
you cannot get that sound for any price these days. Even my old N and M
from a late 60's small headstock blond (had a Dimarzio 8K cruncher in the
bridge slot when I got it,) have better quack and cojones power compared
to the new high end ones at the music store.

I have seen notes telling folks to watch out for ceramic, not alnico,
counterfeit models of these licensed pickups. They are getting that
    popular. So caveat emptor.

I also notice that vintage strats of the 50's era sport a .1 uF 200V
Capacitor and 250K pots. This is also the case with the Eric Johnson mod,
switching the bottom Tone to the Bridge pickup instead of the stock Middle.
    This is shown at
    http://support.fender.com/diagrams/stratocaster/0117702A/SD0117702APg2.pdf

This is a normal modern Strat, with a .022 uF cap instead:

The Buddy Guy mod is also different:
